Apex Tree & Garden Experts commenced business in 1985 purely as an arboricultural company, under the name of Apex Arborcare.
The company developed and expanded under the ownership and guidance of Scott Gatenby, and became a professional consultancy with expertise in tree care, garden care and landscape design.
Our purpose is to be a successful, energetic and enthusiastic company with a common vision of constant improvement and dynamism.

Consultation Methodology
Our consultants' methodology and analyses are based on proven academic research, experience and scientific analysis of the structure and biology of trees.
Scott Gatenby, our consultant arborist, trained with Dr Alex Shigo, Shigo and Trees, Associates, New Hampshire, USA the foremost authority on arboriculture. Dr Shigo's work in the 1990s has been supplemented by the more recent work of Harris, Clark & Matheny of University of California.
The work of Australian researchers Hadlington & Johnson draws the American principles into the Australian context and has also been of great benefit to all expert arborists. Apex applies the principles derived from these researchers to all its arboricultural work.
